Dare 2B Fair

The original concept for Dare 2B Fair was born after a national tragedy, a mass shooting in 2011. The number of these tragedies tripled by 2017, with 374 mass shootings so far in 2025.

I have watched our collective language devolve into crudeness and cruelty, with bullying and ongoing violence on the rise. Anxiety in our kids and adults is sky high, with adults feeling helpless to make meaningful cultural change for the better.

I am inspired by the phrase “The pen is mightier than the sword.” I believe that our words hold a transformative power. I believe in cultural healing. Out of these beliefs, I created an easy, doable process for us to use the power in words to make a more harmonious world for all.

“Dare 2B Fair: 33 Steps to Build a Better World with Our Words,” an English/Spanish bi-lingual book, presents a process which helps us harness the power in words using one simple, meaningful prompt at a time.

As easy, fun, and non-judgmental as it is profound, Dare 2B Fair offers an antidote to toxicity and a practical path from helplessness to action. The process serves as a pathway for leaders—both for today and tomorrow.
